Course Description:

Autonomic Fascial Integration Level Two expands the practitioner’s skill set to incorporate additional techniques for working with the dynamic complexities of the tensegrity matrix model of human biomechanics. This class introduces the concepts of dermatome circuits, neural redirection and compression transference, providing effective tools for working with multidirectional contractility in fascial torque patterns.

Learning Outcomes:

(NOTE: Glossary of Terms will be provided in the training)

  1. Students will demonstrate three exercises to prepare for practitioner/client entrainment.
  2. Students will identify four types of fascial mechanoreceptors.
  3. Students will describe the known effects of the stimulation of mechanoreceptors.
  4. Students will identify four different types of deep fascia.
  5. Students will identify dermatomes of the upper extremity.
  6. Students will identify dermatomes of the lower extremity.
  7. Students will describe the purpose and application of a dermatome circuit.
  8. Students will demonstrate the application of dermatome circuiting technique both prior to and following an autonomic response.
  9. Students will explain the concept of multidirectional contractility in fascial torque patterns.
  10. Students will identify and analyze a torque pattern (case study) in four different presentations – supine, prone, standing and walking.
  11. Students will describe the mechanism of compression transference.
  12. Students will palpate and identify deeper layers of fascia, including aponeurotic fascia, epimysial fascia and subserous fascia.
  13. Students will identify differentiation of directional contractility in multiple layers of fascia.
  14. Students will detect and describe shifts in the torque pattern following a propagation cycle.
  15. Students will demonstrate the ability to follow the thread of tension release in the tensegrity matrix.
  16. Students will list the sequencing of skills used in the AFI level two protocol.

AFI is pre-requisite for this class.

What to Wear:

Ladies: Loose, comfortable layered clothing, such as yoga pants or leggings and t-shirt with either a modest, two-piece comfortable bathing suit or a modest, loose and comfortable bra/sports bra with stretchy, loose bike shorts or similar for the ladies.

Gentlemen: modest swim trunks or comfortable (must have some stretch) shorts under yoga pants or lounge pants with t-shirt.

Please do not wear fragrance of any kind. This includes, perfume, cologne, after shave, scented lotion, scented hair spray, insect repellent etc. Many people are highly sensitive to fragrances.

Registration Deadlines:

Registration closes 10 days prior to start date, (or sooner if the class is already full before the deadline). Instructor will cancel the class if the minimum enrollment is not met by the registration deadline. Spaces are limited to ensure a low student:teacher ratio for optimal learning. Registration will be closed as soon as the class is full.  The class may sell out. Early registration is encouraged.

Refund/ Cancellation Policy:

If instructor cancels the seminar for any reason, a full refund will be given.

Cancel 30 days or more prior to the event – full refund minus 10% processing fee to cover admin and PayPal fees.

Cancel less than 30 days but more than 5 days prior to the event for a 50% refund.

No refunds for cancellation 5 days or less prior to the event.
